We provide services ranging from employee benefits consulting, administration, and communications, to strategic HR consulting and operations. Our clients include small to medium-sized companies and non-profit organizations throughout the SF Bay Area.
We are currently seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, serving as the strategic benefits advisor and primary relationship manager. In addition, the account executive, working closely with our Senior Advisor, may be involved in closing new business. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, positive self-starter, with the desire to learn, contribute, and succeed.
Key Responsibilities

Build and manage relationships with clients, acting as the main contact for strategic planning and benefits initiatives, and work closely with clients at multiple levels.

Lead the entire renewal process from planning and analysis through open enrollment communications, including alignment of organizational and cost objectives, analyzing plan design and options, carrier negotiations, and competitive market analysis.

Collaborate with Benefits Analysts to analyze benefits & coverage, cost data, and claims information to recommend optimal plan designs and funding models.

Lead Open Enrollment meetings to educate employees on benefits, including plans & coverage changes, healthcare trends, preferred network dynamics, and available resources.

Develop benchmarking reports by gathering data from reliable sources, surveys, and industry reports; analyze and compare clients’ plans to other benchmark companies by size, stage, and location.

Advise clients on regulatory compliance, including ACA, ERISA, and other federal and state compliance; and coordinate with the internal team on compliance administration & support.
Desired Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field

8+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in employee benefits in a brokerage or consulting firm

Active CA Life and Health insurance license

Deep understanding of various employee benefit plans: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA, FSA, and HRA, including fully insured and self-funded models

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Team player, self-starter with the ability to work independently

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and communication tools such as Zoom, Slack; and in Google Space are preferred
